One of our company divisions will be spun off into a new company. Some products previously manufactured by our company will continue to be produced by the new company. Initially, products will be sold under our current brand/company name, and then gradually switched to the new company brand. The new company will also become a VCCI member. How should we transfer our VCCI-registered products to the new company?

Before starting sales under the new brand/company name, the new company must become a VCCI member, after which they should register product conformity (add/modify). Previous test reports can be used provided that the equipment structure remains unchanged. Ensure that all documents, including test reports, are transferred to the new company, and, if necessary, renumber the test reports when submitting the updated registration (add/modify).

The brand supplier receiving products from us (the original manufacturer) has changed its company name. How should we update registered product conformity information?

Submit a conformity registration (add/modify) including the updated company name.

New company B has been spun off from full member company A. Company B handles manufacturing, while brand name, model number, and model name remain as registered by Company A. Is registration of product conformity required in this case?

Registration is not required provided that there is no change to brand name, model number, and model name.

When the product model number remains the same but the responsible company name changes, is re-registration of product conformity required?

Re-registration of the product is not required. However, the company name change must be submitted using Form 9 “Notice of Change: Membership List related”.
